For Dr. Chodroff, oral surgery is a calling deeply rooted in family, precision, and purpose. A third-generation dental professional, he grew up in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania surrounded by the values of dedication and expertise. After earning his undergraduate degree from Yale University and competing as a Division I rower, he went on to complete his dental degree at Columbia University and his medical degree at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU).
During his extensive residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at OHSU, one of the country’s most respected programs, Dr. Chodroff participated in hundreds of complex orthognathic and reconstructive surgeries. He developed a strong interest in minimally invasive techniques and virtual surgical planning to improve patient outcomes and speed up recovery. With a Master’s in Education from Columbia University’s Teachers College, he is also passionate about teaching and empowering patients through education.
When he’s not in surgery, you’ll find him trail running with his dog, Finn, or exploring new restaurants with his wife Lara and their two young children.

Growing up in Ohio as the oldest of four girls, Dr. Lazar was nicknamed the “CEO of the family”—a natural leader who thrived on creativity, problem-solving, and working with her hands. Though she originally pursued architecture, she quickly realized she craved more human connection. A few semesters and shadowing experiences later, her path became clear: oral surgery offered the perfect intersection of hands-on precision, high-intensity problem-solving, and patient-centered care.
After earning a BS in Biology and MS in Microbiology, Dr. Lazar taught dissection labs in graduate school—her early entry into surgical technique. She received her DMD from the University of Pittsburgh and completed a surgical internship at the Medical College of Wisconsin before completing her residency at Emory University School of Medicine. Known for her calm presence and gift for making patients feel comfortable, Dr. Ashley also teaches at OHSU and regularly attends CE courses to stay at the leading edge of her field.
Outside the office, she loves exploring the outdoors, cooking for loved ones, and spending time with her family (many of whom she’s working on relocating to the PNW).

Meet the dedicated professionals here to brighten your day.
I have over 10 years of dental experience, starting as an orthodontic assistant before moving to the front desk in oral surgery. I enjoy being part of a team that helps patients feel comfortable and confident in their smiles. I am married to my husband AJ and a mom to two energetic boys, ages 6 and 9. Most weekends, you can find me on the sidelines cheering them on at their sporting events.
